Eye on nature visit

Well when we first got to the Botanical  garden's we saw a'lot of things like flowers, plants, bees and other things.

Then we had morning tea I had a kebab and drink I enjoyed my morning tea.

Next we went on our first activity we had to see what a healthy lunch box looked like and what one doesn't. We had to get into groups and actually had to pack a health lunch box.  We then talked about the 4 food groups.  They were brown bread and cereal, Dairy product, protein and nuts, and fruit and vegetable.  Brown bread makes you more fuller and less sugar.  My team picked yogurt, apple, raisins and cheese.

Once we completed the activity we were allowed to make us a healthy snack.  I had apple, peanut butter and hummus.  To finish this activity we played a clapping game.

  2. WOW!!! Looks like you all had a lot of 'fun' learning. Maybe the next time when you do something around the Environment, you could visit the Super Heroes and share your amazing new learning. I know that my students would love it!

  3. Great blog Enviro team. Nice to see the smiling faces taking part in an interactive learning environment. Fantastic! It's prompted me to ask Angelina-Dalcielo to put together their lunchbox menu next week for her and her brothers. Nice reminders to get them motivated about healthy choices. Thanks.
